We’re about a week into our “Don’t Give Up Your Ship” campaign — launched with the announcement that Niagara wouldn’t be sailing in 2020 — and frankly the outpouring of support has been amazing.
To date, we’ve had over 400 backers, and the tally increases daily.
I’ve been following up with “Thank You” notes, and it’s been a great pleasure to see the names of old shipmates on the list, along with people whom I’ve never met, but to whom Niagara is deeply meaningful. (Apologies for the penmanship on those hand-written “Thank You” notes, by the way — I’m doing my level best! I think that my years of swinging a hammer didn’t do anything positive for my fine motor skills!)
We look forward to seeing you all in person, out on the water, in 2021. Until then, stay safe, and look out for your “Don’t Give Up Your Ship” gear (and my chicken-scratchings) in your mailbox.
Yours Sincerely,
Joseph Lengieza
