General Information

Support your Flagship from anywhere outdoors through our virtual Three Nautical Mile Run! Whether you race to challenge your limits or just want to enjoy the outdoors and get some sporty League for the League gear, join us in our virtual running event!

The Process is simple:

Register Online using the event form below. Make sure to include your email, address, and T-shirt size. Registration is $18.13 per participant.

Run

Run or walk three nautical miles your way! Space it out over intervals, run it in one go, run with friends, or enjoy the outdoors solo. Don’t forget to record your time!

Send us your time! The run is non-competitive, so this is optional.

League for the League” is a nautical league virtual fun run to raise funds for the Flagship Niagara League.

A league is three nautical miles or approximately 5.6 kilometers. Race participants will complete a 3NM walk or run at the time and place of their convenience by November 15, 2020.

Participants will receive a themed T-shirt, “3NM” race decal and congratulatory note signed by King Neptune. Registrants may also opt to participate in the “Barnacle” division, and receive a shirt, note, and decal without running.

Registration is $18.13, with proceeds going to support the Flagship Niagara League during the continued closure of the Erie Maritime Museum.

Your support of the Flagship Niagara League assists the Erie Maritime Museum in accomplishing its mission of connecting Commonwealth citizens, and our neighboring states, and nations, with the maritime history of the Lake Erie region – through the preservation of history for this and future generations.

FAQ’s

How do I participate?
Sign up and walk or run three nautical miles. We’ll ship you your shirt, note and decal. It’s that simple.
Do I have to finish before I get my shirt, note and decal?
No, we trust you. We plan to start mailing them out on November 4, 2020.
What are the shirts like?
They’ll be a lot like the concept art here, in unisex sizes S-2XL.
What are the stickers like?
The stickers are weather-resistant 5×3″ gloss vinyl, and will look like the concept art here.
What are the notes from King Neptune like?
Congratulatory and exciting!  Notecard-sized!  Highly collectible!  Beyond that, it’s a surprise.
Will there be winners?
Since this is the first walk/run we’re organizing, we decided to make it non-competitive.  However, if you submit your time, you might see yourself on social media once all the results are in.
What about the Barnacle Division?
If you want to support the League and get some fun stuff in the mail, but don’t have time for the walk/run, the Barnacle Division is the one for you!
My fitness tracker doesn't measure in leagues or nautical miles. What do I do?
You can submit your results for 5.6 kilometers or 3.45 standard miles.
